40th Anniversary
For anyone who doesn’t already know, the Isle of Man Darts Festival is the longest-running event of its kind anywhere in the world. First held in 1984, the Festival should have celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024, but like many sporting events, it missed a year due to Covid. That means 2026 finally marks the official 40th anniversary, and we intend to make it a year to remember.
Organised by England Darts, the Festival has always been held in March and continues to attract hundreds of players and supporters who return year after year the clearest sign of just how loved this iconic event truly is. Of course, a prize fund of over £35,000 helps, but what really keeps people coming back is the atmosphere, the friendships, and the guarantee of a great time.
In recent years we’ve introduced numerous improvements: increased prize funds, live-streamed finals watched by thousands, additional prizes for Manx players, and a firm commitment to our “Darts for All” philosophy. Players can once again enjoy a full schedule of events across Men’s, Ladies, Youth, Mixed Doubles and disability categories, ensuring the Festival remains one of the most inclusive in the world.
We’re also proud to continue offering WDF ranking points in our major singles events, further strengthening the Festival’s importance in the global darts calendar.
None of this would be possible without the hard work of our volunteers and the incredible support of our sponsors, including the Isle of Man Tourism Department, Caliburn and L-style.
All that’s left is for you to book your trip. With plenty of travel options and hotels close to the Villa Marina, it couldn't be easier.
See you in March for our 40th anniversary celebration!
